SOLD Absolutely gorgeous and sparkly, flowing ruffled rich-bohemian gypsy georgette dress by the one and only Diane Freis, designer to celebrities and stars in the 70's and 80's. This one is just scrumptious with its print of light and deep pink roses on periwinkle blue georgette, accented all over with glimmering sequins in matching dark and lighter pinks. An ultra feminine dress with its full flared skirt that has cascades of ruffles at intervals down the length of the skirt, ending in a flared wider ruffle at the hem. Full gathered puffy sleeves and Diane's signature tasseled and beaded neck ties plus a wide elastic-shirred waistline to wear higher or lower on the hips. Has a wonderful, long, super-wide matching sash of the same floral material (not sequined) that you could either tie around the waist or use as a bohemian head wrap/scarf! Measurements of this delicious dress are as follows:
Bust max: up to about 38" (this is a loose V front blouson type bodice as is typical with Diane Freis designs)
Elastic waist stretches from 22" to 36", can be worn higher or lower on the hips/waist
Hip: free, flared skirt is very very full
Skirt length from the midpoint of the waist is approx. 30", keep in mind this may fall shorter on longer depending on the size of one's hips and how high or low the shirred waist is worn.
Length is 50" from shoulder to hem when hanging but this length will be shorter when worn on a body; this fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body for a multitude of sizes, as you can see. I believe this could fit up to a modern size 10 quite comfortably.
Condition: I can't find any flaws on it, looks never worn; very clean. Elastic waistline is in very good shape, fits nicely around the waist/hips. Just gorgeous! Labels intact, "Diane Freis Original". No size tag.
