This incredible, one of a kind piece with a nostalgic, Victorian roses and forget-me-nots theme was inspired by my love of antique Victorian, Edwardian and 1920's fashions and the delicate, beautiful beaded and jeweled bags that were made to accompany those styles....this is one of the many small-and-useful pouches and bags I'll be adding to my popular embroidered and jeweled purse collections. The body of this dainty little case, which is a hinged-frame, long-pouch style, is of sturdy yet very rich and delicate custom printed cotton twill in a gorgeous vintage-style print of groups of pink roses set on a latticed blue background, substantially backed and padded so that your glasses or phone will be well cushioned! It's beautifully tailored and fully padded, and the front features an Edwardian image of a beautiful lady in a burgundy gown, surrounded by narrow vintage pink and gold braid and looped antique lacy blue trim, dotted with tiny pink silk rosettes and blue carved glass forget-me-not stones. The front and back are crisscrossed with vintage French narrow pink silk floral ribbons and antique lace, and at the bottom I've hand embroidered a group of exquisite, delicate silk ribbon embroidery roses and buds in pink and deep burgundy as well as embroidered sprays made up of tiny blue glass beads. More of the antique blue carved glass forget me not stones, plus tiny pink opaline glass beads, further surround and accent the silk ribbon embroidered rose grouping. Please be sure to look at all the closeup detail photos!
The back of the pouch features more of the custom printed fabric and antique trims used in the construction of the front; it has an antique brass etched metal frame with a top "kiss lock" closure of deep pearlized burgundy beads set into flower shapes; the purse is sturdily hand-sewn onto this frame and anchored with rows of pink opaline glass beads. Fully lined in silk. All textile elements of this purse are very meticulously HAND SEWN on to the fabric--strictly old-school craftsmanship...
Perfect size for the essentials: eyeglasses or cell phone; or a compact, and a lipstick or two---This case fits my Android phone perfectly, but please check to make sure this will be right for your individual needs as there are NO RETURNS: measurements of this beauty are 8" by 4-1/4", a dainty yet standard size to hold all the little necessities. The metal frame opening is 3-1/4" in width so if purchasing as a cell case do make sure your phone will fit through this opening size. (my large 2018 Android inside its extra shell casing fits easily through this, but some of the newest extra-large phones might not) Fabulous gift for a special person and a wonderful evening, event or wedding bag, or even just a gorgeous display piece!
