SOLD Exquisite 100% silk vivid coral super-floaty, flowing, superb 80's dress, this beauty is just scrumptious with its exquisite bright coral and blue-gray print on satin-striped silk chiffon. Icinoo/The Silk Farm dresses were sold in only the top high-end stores back in the day, and famous for their exquisite designs and colors; this one is from the designer Icinoo's own couture collection and features elegant couture finishing touches such as handsewn shoulder pads, a hand finished side zipper and a gorgeous coral silk crepe full lining & underskirt. Very meticulously sewn indeed! Such a timeless, beautiful and wearable style, with a gently blouson waist, drapey long sleeves and a very full flaring draped double skirt that can be worn several ways (see photos) Icinoo/Silk Farm dresses are highly sought after by vintage clothing collectors because of the high quality of the silk fabric and wonderful flowing designs; this is a prime example and in excellent condition, it definitely does not look to have been worn at all. Measurements of this delicious dress are as follows:
Marked a vintage size 10 but fits more like a modern 8.
Bust max: up to about 37-38", no larger than that.
Waist: 28"; not an elastic waist, has a side zip
Hip: free, flared bias cut skirt is very very full; hip measurement on the underskirt is 38".
Skirt length from waist is approx. 29" on one side, the outer layer of the skirt dips with a scarflike drape to 35". Photos show how this outer layer skirt can be either worn loose and asymmetrical, or softly tied/draped. Fully lined except for the sleeves, in pure silk crepe.
Length is 43" from shoulder to the shorter side of the asymmetrical hem; this fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body, as you can see. Mannequin is approx. 5' 6" and a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36); this dress fits the mannequin quite well.
Condition: Perfect condition, I don't see any flaws, bright and clean, looks never worn, no spots, stains, rips or snags. "Icinoo" designer label, plus marked a size 10.
