I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties!
This is a small dress; measurements are as follows:
Bust max: up to about 35", definitely no larger than that, this dress is snug on the mannequin. (Though the outer layer is somewhat looser, this is the measurement of the inner bodice layer)
Waist max: 32", elastic is mostly stretched out, but it does have the original scarf sash.
Hip: open, skirt is very full, flowy and cut on the bias
Skirt length from waist is approx. 32", keep in mind this may fall shorter on longer depending on the size of one's hips
Length is 49" from shoulder to hem; this fits and drapes SO beautifully but is meant for a small size, though it's marked a vintage 10 it fits modern sizes much smaller. Mannequin is approx. 5' 6" and is 36-26-36; it fit the mannequin, but rather snugly so I would suggest only for small or extra small sizes.
As it has an inner bodice of the same fabric, this dress did not originally come with a slip.
Condition: Other than the very narrow elastic at the waist no longer being stretchy I can't find a flaw on it, excellent condition and clean, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, Just gorgeous! Labels are intact, designer's "The Silk Farm Designed by Icinoo" label, plus marked a (vintage) size 10. Original sash scarf in excellent shape too.
