I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....Am now translating that love to my own contemporary creations and using all the fine extraordinary antique and vintage materials, laces, trims, beads etc that I've collected for more than 30 years in these wonderful wearable pieces....along with the finest of hand sewing and one of a kind details. Everything I create is individually hand made solely by me and has the very best of my carefully hoarded private stash of superb old accents (I use ONLY vintage materials that are in pristine, freshly-cleaned condition---no deteriorating, too-aged or rotting pieces EVER) plus the finest of modern silks, cottons and wools that I can find.....resulting in a fabulous truly authentic vintage look piece. Impeccable professional workmanship and design are the hallmarks here!
This incredible, one of a kind piece, entirely handmade and hand embroidered by me, has a nostalgic, Victorian Valentine theme, with a super charming base fabric of pink with gold metallic polka dots, over which I've hand sewn tons of antique gold metallic laces and hand embroidered silk ribbon roses in ivory and pink, with tiny sequin and glass bead accents. In the center is a print of a Victorian girl in pink and ivory, which I've surrounded with more antique laces as well as antique silk velvet ribbon, and a cluster of handmade silk ribbonwork flowers. This has a double zipper with double pendants of vintage pink pearl hearts. A high quality brushed-brass chain forms the handle and is attached at each side (see pics) while the inside is fully lined in pink cotton, has a roomy pocket trimmed in antique gold and pink trim, and all of the seams are covered and hand finished in handsewn bias binding.

All textile elements of this purse are very meticulously HAND SEWN on to the fabric--strictly old-school craftsmanship!
Perfect roomy size for all the essentials: measurements of this beauty are 10" across by approx 9.5" top to bottom, and 2" deep, a great size to hold all the little necessities. Chain handle is about 19" long. Fabulous gift for a special person and a wonderful evening, event or wedding bag, or even just a gorgeous display piece; it would even look fantastic hung on a wall.
