SOLD Such a beautiful, feminine vintage 1990s April Cornell dress with a definite feeling of the 1930's, this beauty is just scrumptious with its exquisite print of dark rose pink dots on sheer, deep periwinkle blue flowing rayon chiffon. This is the high quality, beautiful rayon that April originally used in her dresses back in the day and which you don't find in her current collections anymore.....this dress has a separate blue rayon slip with a full net ruffle at the hemline, which peeks out under the sheer dress to give it a swirly, full look. Fluttery short sleeves. Beautifully made with lovely details such as inner straps/snaps in the dress to hold the slip in place, and adjustable straps on the slip so you can make it shorter or longer depending on how much of the ruffle you want to show under the dress. A timeless, beautiful and wearable vintage style, with a softly drapey semi-surplice bodice, short flaring sleeves and a very full bias cut flared skirt-very vintage 30's! Bust max: fits up to about 38-39", no larger than that.
Raised Empire waist measures about 36"-37"
Length is 45" from shoulder to hem of the dress (ruffled slip adds another 4" to that) while on the hanger; this measurement will be shorter on a human figure; the dress fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36); it fits those measurements with a couple of inches to spare.
Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress, it is like new and looks never worn, Very clean, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, Just gorgeous! Labels are intact, with the designer's own April Cornell tag.
