MAGNIFICENT, breathtaking and VERY exclusive Antique Style Victorian French Romantic handsewn, handmade pillow features ultra rare individual antique "Kensitas silks" pictures from the 1930s, of various flowers woven in shades of brilliant lilac, lavenders, purples and yellows on soft ivory silk. These gorgeous, extremely hard to find and highly collectible little silks were woven in Holland and included as premiums along with cigarette packages sold in the early 1930's in England by the Kensitas cigarette company. VERY very hard to find these delicate, fabulous and highly detailed little antique flower pictures, especially here in the US, and I'm fortunate to have obtained quite a substantial collection of them over the years....these are the ultra-rare medium sized ones and came to me without their typical little individual folders that described the flowers so I decided to showcase them in a beautiful handmade pillow. This breathtaking creation is part of my very popular line of fabulous antique-inspired, totally romantic Victorian style pillows....this one is lavished with tons of super fine, tiny antique lace and antique Swiss ribbon trim as well. This is ONE OF A KIND in this colorway and a very rare, spectacular treasure--the entire top of the pillow is painstakingly hand sewn/hand quilted--I spent an extreme amount of hours on this one! I've only made one other similar one of these thus far, because of the rarity of the silks and the intensive hand sewing required.

This incredible piece was inspired by my love of antique Victorian, Edwardian and 1920's fashions and decor...This exquisite totally handmade pillow is a perfect large size to accommodate all the fantastic antique flower silk pictures and details...the superb fineness and shimmering quality of the variety of the woven flowers is showcased and framed by fine antique Swiss woven floral ribbon in lilacs/purples, edged/handsewn with the tiniest and most delicate antique lace, which I've surrounded and bordered the pictures with; lightly quilted with the tiniest, invisible hand stitching and finishing off the front edges with wide, deep lilac antique silk jacquard ribbon with an arabesque/curlicue woven pattern. The back of the pillow is vintage, sumptuous deep lilac silk with a woven diamond pattern---absolutely luxe! All elements of this pillow are very meticulously sewn; NO gluing whatsoever....all of the lace, trims and added elements are HAND SEWN on to the pillow front, not done by machine--strictly old-school craftsmanship.
This big beauty measures 16" in height by 17" width....it's a wonderful centerpiece for a lavish and luxurious bed, chair or sofa!
